I'm so so high now~ JSSCO had SILVER for `07's SFY competition!!! (:(:
we've met our target! finally, after so many weeks of hardwork, long session of practices, it has finally paid off (:
I woke up at 5am, reach school at 6am. OMG, first time reach school so early (x
after set-up, we played our first note at 6.30. went through 漸快涼風 (wind cresenti) and 翠湖春曉 twice for each song and we're all ready to set off (:
On the bus, i tried to cramp the 2nd halve of cui hu chun xiao's note in my brain, but i failed- my brain wasn't operating fully (x tried real hard practicing my solo part, i was so worried that i'll play wrong note or i'm out of beat.
Before entering the concert hall, my hands were trembling and sweating like nobody business. every body was so nervous (x
On the stage, looking for signal to stand as a whole orchestra, i smiled (: after that to realise that my lips were trembling too! (x then i decide not to smile anymore and prepare to play my first note.
To my horror, i played my fifth note wrongly! my hand was trembling and slippery and my finger just sliped and press on the wrong key. I was like *shit!wrong key (x wahaha somemore the wrong key was soo super obvious (x dead, i'm so dead
After the performance, alot of people cried.( okays, that really freak me out ) Alots of people thought it's not up to our normal standard. Adding upon that, me, gladwin, some other people had bad feelings about the results. Somemore Mr Wong said somethink like " No matter what result we get, we must stay cool " :l
After our turn, we stayed back to waich the other schools' performance.(: It's such a waste that we cant stay until the afternoon session. I missed my HC (x There's a school's conductor wearing all white, mans he look like 白馬王子 (: (: RI's conductor looks very young and he's pulchritudinous. (:(: wahaha (:
Result's time. We're really nevous. Lot's of false alert. (x When they announce" Jurong Secondary, SILVER! " All JSSCO people were screaming, shouting like mad. Alot of people had tears of joy. All of us were so so high that day (: (: We're literally smiling and beaming the whole day (: (:
Frankly speaking, my love for JSSCO increase tremendously this year. Mostly because this is my last year attending JSSCO practice session, partly because of SYF, partly because of Mr Wong.
Don't think Mr Wong will see this but I just want to share (: I'm really touched by what Mr Wong had done for us. I can see the passion burning in his eyes. The way he lead is different, he don't need to force us to fight this battle with him, we willing fight this battle with him because he identify with us, he believed in us. seriously speaking, the first recording of the 2 SFY songs is really horrible. Mr Wong took the extra miles to seek help from his mentor, Mr Lam, and other professionals such as Mr Chris. Mr Wong also missed 30hours of sleep just to help us borrow instruments. (: (: Mr Wong, thanks for everything (: we really love you! you can never make us hate you de lah (x wahaha (:
Not forgetting Mr Chris. Thanks for coming down to our school to coach us. Though it's only 3 sessions with you, we learn alot from you (: Thanks for the effort (:
To the rest, our hardwork had paid off!! (: haha for the past 3 months, all the practices that end at 6+, all the tears and sweat, the times carrying of the heavy and bulky instrument home, it's all worth it! (: withour you guys, this significant day will not take place (: Now i can leave the school, proudly saying that i'm from Chinese Orctrstra (: wahah :D
